Octave Hotels to expand rooms inventory in Bengaluru

Octave Hotels, part of VRS Group is a growing chain of business hotels, currently located in Bengaluru and Guwahati. The group owns two properties – Octave Hotel, Sarjapura Road Bengaluru and Vishwaratna Hotel, Guwahati.

Speaking to Food & Hospitality World, on the sidelines of the Golden Jubilee Convention of FHRAI at Bhubaneswar, Siddharth Goenka, executive director, Octave Hotels said, “We have currently entered into an expansion mode with the launch of our new property, Octave Hotel & Spa, Marathahalli at Bengaluru in April this year. This property has 41 keys and is based on the leased model, where we rent the entire property from the owner for an extended period of time.”

Octave Marathahalli is a business hotel located at the heart of the IT district, Marathahalli Outer Ring Road, an area buzzing with IT activity of some of the biggest companies in Bengaluru including Intel, Flipkart, JP Morgan, Accenture, and Cisco.

“We plan to grow our in the business hotel segment, especially by expanding our inventory in Bengaluru from 80 keys to about 200 in two years, while exploring both the leased and management model of growth. Our new property is based on the concept of smart rooms with basic facilities for business traveller, including comfortable bed, linen, WiFi, breakfast, spa, conference facilities, and quick dining experience. Due to our presence in North-East region, we are also planning to increase our capacity in the North-Eastern region by partnering with existing and new hotels”, Goenka said.

“Tourism in North-East is an untapped potential which is surely expected to increase in the coming years. We hope to leverage our expertise in managing and marketing hotels to the North-East, to promote that region with inbound tourists from India and abroad. There are several hotels in that region, which are still unexposed to modern practices of hospitality, and this is an opportunity that we are eyeing keenly”, he added.
