MoFPI releases list of completed food processing projects

The ministry of food processing industries (MoFPi) has released a consolidated list of completed food processing projects that include Mega Food Parks, Creation of Food Processing Unit (CEFPPC) Projects, Creation of Backward & Forward Linkages(CBFL) Projects and Food Testing Laboratories (FTL) Projects.

There are 18 Mega Food Parks that have been completed in various states. While Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh have two each, Assam, Gujarat, Telangana, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh have one each. In the NE, Tripura has one.

A total of 193 cold chain projects have been completed mostly for fruits and vegetables, milk and dairy products, meat and fishery. Maharashtra has the highest with 44 projects. In the North East, Manipur (Senapati), Arunachal Pradesh (Tawang), Nagaland (Dimapur) have one each while Mizoram has two, both in Aizwal.

There are four Backward & Forward Linkages(CBFL) Projects, three in Rajasthan and one in Gujarat, mainly for spices and milk chilling.

There are 95 food testing lab projects that have been completed.
