Hyatt Regency Chandigarh opens its doors

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has announced the official opening of Hyatt Regency Chandigarh. Located 246 km away from Delhi, Hyatt Regency Chandigarh is the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Chandigarh.

“We are delighted to welcome the first Hyatt-branded hotel to Chandigarh. Hyatt Regency Chandigarh has been designed to make guests feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed, so that they can socialise, connect and celebrate any occasion. I am confident that this new hotel will add to the appeal of Chandigarh and introduce Hyatt’s well-known hospitality to guests and residents,” said Kurt Straub, vice president, operations – India, Hyatt.

The hotel is central to the city’s business hub and is part of a premium development that includes the Elante Mall and an office complex that houses key multi-national companies and diplomatic missions. The hotel is 20-minute drive away from Chandigarh International Airport and eight minutes from the Chandigarh Junction railway station.

Hyatt Regency Chandigarh is a modern hotel that embodies both the city’s design ethos and its residents’ desire for modern accommodations, excellent service and exciting places to eat and drink,” said Puneet Baijal, general manager, Hyatt Regency Chandigarh.

The hotel offers 211 guest rooms, including 25 suites and seven Cabana rooms. The hotel features five restaurants and bars offering cuisines such as Northern Indian, Chinese, Western, Italian and more. With more than 36,000 sq ft of meeting and event space, including an 8,711 sq ft ballroom, Hyatt Regency Chandigarh can cater to various events. Whereas, in terms of wellness offerings, Amaira Spa join Hyatt Regency Chandigarh in June 2016.
